Swagata is a painter, teacher, coach, wife and mother. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Sid, and her two sons, Rahul and Aditya. She started painting when she was eight years old and was lucky enough to find many
mentors along the way who encouraged her to pursue her talents. She grew up in the suburbs of Kolkata, India. Swagata possess a dual bachelors degree in fine art as well as science. She has taught people of all ages and continues to enrich her life by sharing her gifts with others.
Swagata is a mixed media artist, and she uses different mediums such as pencils, water color, acrylic, alcohol ink, and many more. Being a nature lover, she enjoys upcycling with newspaper, cardboard, bottles and different household items.
